(REEDSPORT OR) - Loon Lake Lodge & RV Resort and Loon Lake Marina & Watersports in the Coastal Mountain Range near the city of Reedsport, Oregon, announces the 2011 photo contest with overnight lodging on a houseboat as a prize to the top two winners.
Loon Lake, noted for its spectacular beauty, is surrounded by tall fir trees and affords many opportunities for gorgeous photography. Loon Lake Lodge’s deli provides a spectacular view of the lake and photo vantage point.
The lake is a playground for watersports and Loon Lake Marina rents many types of watercraft. Houseboats that sleep from 4 to 10 people, jet skis, pontoon boat, ski boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and water ski accessories are available so all can participate in the fun.
Whether an overnight guest in the Oregon Coast cabins, yurts, tents or RV camping sites available at Loon Lake or a day traveler, adventures on the water can be photographed and make great entries for the photo contest.
Photo contest entries are not limited to scenes at Loon Lake. There are many beautiful locations near Loon Lake such as the Oregon Coast Beaches and Oregon Dunes National Recreation area, Umpqua Valley Wine Region, Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area, Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, Douglas County Covered Bridges and the Umpqua River.
