(REEDSPORT, Ore) Loon Lake Watersports and Marina, offering boat rentals in Oregon and a marina, reported a 33% increase in revenue from the prior year. The Oregon boat rental operation also announced plans to upgrade the boat ramp and expand and enhance the docks with completion due in early summer.

Demand was so strong last season that Loon Lake Watersports and Marina added two more jet skis as rentals. Jeff Schweiterman, the manager for Loon Lake Watersports noted, “Despite the difficult economy, the boat rentals and jet ski rentals in Oregon were usually booked every weekend. The pontoon boat was a favorite among families and groups and the jet skis were a hit with the people that liked the excitement of speed.”

The marina is located at Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort in the Cascade Range, just a few miles from the Central Oregon Coast and a two-hour drive from Eugene. Waverunners, jet skis, water ski boats, pontoon boats, fishing boats, and an assortment of kayaks and canoes are available for rent by the hour or day. “We had so many boats trying to dock during the summer that we will now be upgrading and expanding our docks to accommodate the demand”, added Schweiterman.

Pontoon boat rides are offered free as part of the Doggy Days Weekend, May 21-23, 2010. Several activities are planned for the canines and their owners, including a costume parade and peanut butter licking and pancake breakfast contests. Pets are welcome at Loon Lake and the Pontoon boat provides a safe ride for the pets while the owners relax and fish in the well stocked lake.

Whether you choose to experience the exhilaration of a jet ski or ski boat ride or the relaxation of a family pontoon boat ride, you will find that this Oregon boat rental facility will provide you with the watercraft of your choice. The marina also rents water skis and kneeboards, so if you have your own boat, you can launch at the marina and rent the accessories. The wind-protected waters of beautiful Loon Lake also provide the environment for hours of exploring the two-mile long lake and feeder creek in the available canoes, kayaks, fishing and paddleboats.
